New Baby Toys Mimic Adult Educational Toys


Baby educational toys that mimic adult gadgets like iPads, Kindles, and mobile phones are getting a lot of attention. Fisher-Price, for example, has created a Laugh & Learn Baby iCan Play Case, designed for ages 9 to 36 months. This durable case locks mom or dad's iPhone or iPod inside and comes with easy-grasp baby-size handles.
Your infant can now talk to grandparents via Face Time, or use free downloadable Fisher-Price apps that each with interactive cartoons and songs. There is also some toddler tablets on the market now, including the Vtech Innopad and the Leapfrog LeapPad Explorer. They both come with five-inch color screens and built-in speakers, and use software cartridges to deliver interactive animations that teach reading and learning games and other activities using characters from Toy Story, Dora the Explorer, and other popular cartoons.
