LeapFrog Takes Top Honours For Educational Toy
LeapFrog Enterprises took top honors at the 11th Annual Toy of the Year Awards ceremony for it's innovative and educational toys. The company's Leapster Explorer won the 2011 Educational Toy of the Year Award, however this was not the first time that LeapFrog products have received this honor. They have been recognized for their innovation and quality ever since the LeapPad Learning System was first introduced in 1999.
The Leapster Explorer is a system that allows for powerful game-play that includes Flash and 3D graphics. The screen is hi-res, with finger-touch control and a multitude of learning and play experiences pre-loaded. The system also supports the downloadable Leaplet Learning apps, including e-Books and videos, and it comes with a click-in camera accessory and access to the LeapWorld online playground for kids. The game stores information about a child's progress, and automatically adjusts the game and activity challenges in real-time.
